Foreman spots weakness in Mike Tyson’s punching technique in training video

George Foreman has spotted a weakness in Mike Tyson’s punching technique. He believes he has spotted a weakness in Mike Tyson’s punching technique ahead of his eagerly anticipated comeback. After several months of intense speculation, the former heavyweight king confirmed earlier this week that he would be returning to the ring in September to face fellow boxing legend Roy Jones Jr in an eight round exhibition bout. The 54-year-old has excited boxing fans the world over by releasing a series of training montage videos on Instagram which appear to suggest he still retains much of the punching power which marked him out as one of the sport’s greatest ever knockout artists in his prime. Foreman, however, remains dubious as to whether Tyson still possesses the ability to inflict serious pain on any opponent, and feels he has spotted a flaw in his fellow American’s set-up. Foreman, who became world champion at the age of 45, is delighted to see two modern greats attempting to roll back the years but revealed his plan to make a comeback in his fifties was quickly dashed by his wife. He added: ‘One time I told my wife I’m getting back into boxing. I was 55 years old, I was in shape and everything. I said ‘now I can even pay the contender to fight me, £5million I can guarantee it and I can beat him I’m telling you’.

I said ‘I’m telling you, you can’t tell me what to do, do you not believe in me?’ ‘She said ‘George, isn’t that the way you want to leave the sport, believing that you can still do it’. That was closure there right away, and it was death to a fighter to realise you’re never going to fight any more.’
