Leicester City boss provides update on Wilfred Ndidi ahead of Wolves

This weekend’s Premier League action will kick-off on Friday evening.

Leicester City will travel to Wolves with both sides chasing European football this term.

The Foxes will kick off at Molineux sat 3rd in the English top-flight, 10 points clear of 5th place Sheffield United.

But whilst Leicester are firmly in the top-four, their form has dipped off somewhat of late.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have won just one of their last four league outings, drawing one and losing two.

As for Wolves, they are currently 9th in the PL but a win over Leicester would take them up to 6th.

Nuno Santo’s side are also in fairly average form of late, picking up just one victory in their previous five league ties.

Ahead of what will likely be a tough game for the Foxes, Rodgers has provided an update on Wilfred Ndidi.

The Nigerian is a crucial member of Leicester’s midfield but he has missed three of their last four league ties.

It’s also worth noting that Leicester failed to win those three games, giving an indication as to how important Ndidi is to their squad.

Unfortunately for Leicester though, it doesn’t sound like the 23-year-old will be featuring on Friday.

Speaking on Wednesday, Rodgers stated that Ndidi is probably a doubt for the Wolves clash:

“Wilfred Ndidi is probably going to be doubtful for this game. He came back very, very quickly and played in the West Ham and Aston Villa games, but it was just a little reaction to his operation. We’ll see how he is.” As quoted by Leicester’s official website.
