EPL clubs gun for David Alaba’s cousin Sobowale

Premier League duo Burnley and Sheffield United are both keeping tabs on Ronald Sobowale – the cousin of Bayern Munich star David Alaba.

The 22-year-old is currently on trial at Championship side Middlesbrough understands the pacy forward, who has scored 23 goals in 25 games for non-league club Whyteleafe, is also attracting interest from a host of other Championship sides.

Sobowale is currently on trial at Jonathan Woodgate’s Middlesbrough, with the Teesiders interested in signing the 22-year-old on a permanent basis.

Swansea are also keen on the former Chelsea youngster, who played in the same youth team as Tammy Abraham and Dominic Solanke.

Following his release from Stamford Bridge at the age of 15, Sobowale went on to have several spells in Germany.

Leicester and Watford have also tracked the striker this season, who has previously spent time on trial at Cardiff City, Brentford and Barnsley.

He has impressed scouts who have attended #BENEXT showcase matches staged by the AG Football Academy which is based in west London and founded by agent Godfrey K Torto.

In one, he notched a brace against Brentford’s B team in a behind-closed-doors friendly.
