2019/2020 season tagged the Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico-Select NPFL Preseason tournament billed to take place at the Soccer Cathedral of Enugu, the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, home to Rangers International.
The sporting director of Heartland FC of Owerri(Ifeanyi Ekwueme) In partnership with SELECT sportswear company and TICO has enabled the branding of several NPFL teams over the years making this preseason tournament a departure from the norm and a class above the rest if previous tournaments organised by the Ex-Super Eagles player is anything to go by. The event billed to kick-start on the 7th day of September will have its finale four days later, features back to back
FA Cup Champions Heartland FC of Owerri , FA Cup winners Lobi stars of Makurdi, continental campaigners and 2017 NPFL Champions Rangers International of Enugu as premier NPFL participants while teams representing Bayelsa, Delta and Abia States will compete not
forgetting team Ekwueme and Superstars completing the eight – team invitees.
Colourful Tico-Select Jerseys and paraphernalia will brand the Cathedral in Enugu, A-list players already acquired will be sure to compete for places within their teams and Gaffers are expected to
reel in new tactical formations and philosophies in a preseason tournament where those with the experience of previous events will testify to have all the ingredients of a feisty NPFL League campaign.
