The very fit Plateau Tigers didn’t leave anyone in doubt that they in for serious business as they sent their opponent from Zaria to the cleaners and forced a bitter pill down their throat pummeling them by 74-0.
This scoreline put Plateau Tigers in a vantage position to add the Maria Lodge Cup to their collections of laurels over the years, thus making the second leg a mere formality.
From all indications, it is almost an impossible task for the team from Zaria to turn the table against the Tigers.
As it is, the Tigers are just waiting for the second leg in Zaria to take away the Maria Lodge Cup to their club house in Jos, Plateau State.

The Zaria Hanwa Spiders Club are definitely not in their best elements, as they had earlier lost a game in Kaduna some weeks ago in the Richard Rafco Cup, this time  against Kaduna Crocodiles Rfc.
The Kaduna Crocodiles RFC, whalloped the Spiders 20-0. This however put the Zaria team in a verty tight corner as they are yet to record any points in two straight games. These put the cumulative goals against Zaria Hanwa Spiders at 94 points and they have not been able to record any points.
