IRFU Going4Gold 7s Rugby and mental well being Programme wraps up in finglas

Members of the Ireland Men’s 7s squad were on hand to deliver the final session of the Going4Gold7s programme in Finglas earlier this week before heading to London to play in the World Series tournament this weekend.

 

 

The pilot programme run by the Ireland Men’s 7s squad delivers a six week 7s rugby introductory course run in tandem with complimentary mental wellbeing modules delivered by Jigsaw – the youth mental health training and support group.

The Going4Gold7s programme at the Finglas Youth Resource Centre came to a close earlier this week and the participants were presented with an Ireland beanie in a capping ceremony where they reflected on what they had learned from both a rugby and mental well being perspective.

The programme is being run at Poppintree Youth Project, Ballymun; Core Youth Service, Inchicore, Youth Resource Centre, Finglas and Rialto Youth Project, Rialto.
