The management, Coaching crew, players and the entire Bendel Insurance family mourn their former coach and Technical Manager of Lobi Stars of Makurdi ,late Solomon Ogbeide whose death was announced yesterday.
The news of coach Ogbeide’s sudden death came to us yesterday as a rude shock as there was no prior information about his ill health.

The history of Bendel Insurance will be not be complete without mentioning late Coach Solomon Ogbeide. He was one of Edo born soccer tacticians whose style and touch on Insurance and other clubs in Nigeria top flight football will always be remembered
We can recall how he managed our darling team at various points with discipline and dedication as his guiding principle.
Late Ogbeide’s tactical knowhow was recently proven again when he won the 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)title with Lobi Stars and led them to the group stage of this season’s CAF Champions’ League.
The management of Bendel Insurance FC, by this statement, sympathizes and condoles with the bereaved family, friends and his present club, Lobi stars.

In a related development, Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria ( Club owners) have described as shocking and sad, the death of one of the top coaches in the Nigeria professional Football League NPFL, coach Solomon Ogbeide of Lobi stars Football Club of Makurdi.
Coach Ogbeide who guided Lobi stars to emerge top in the 2017/2018 NPFL season and led the Benue state club to the group stage of the CAF champions league was reported to have died after he slumped as a result of low blood pressure.
Club owners Association said the late soccer tactician who had previously handled other top clubs like Sunshine. Warri Wolves amongst others would be missed for his brilliance , commitment, ability and courage in the discharge of his duties as a seasoned coach.
The Association in a statement jointly signed by its chairman Barr. Isaac Danladi and the executive secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka commiserated with the management, players and officials of Lobi stars FC , the Nigeria Football coaches Association, as well as his immediate family and friends.
Club owners prayed for the repose of his soul and for God to console his family and give them the fortitude to bear his loss.
