Watford of England striker, Isaac Success, is facing another injury scare, following fitness issues that ruled him out of action for The Hornets at the weekend.
Footballlive.ng gathered that Success was omitted from The Hornets match day squad for the first time this season in all competitions due to a hamstring complaint.
Success, who battled serious injury blight the previous season, has been put in doubt for Nigeria’s final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.
This is sequel to reports out of Queensland, indicating that the former BJ Foundation of Benin City, Udinese of Italy and Granada of Spain hitman could not shake off fitness issues in time for the match against Brighton & Hove Albion.
However, Brighton defender, Leon Aderemi Balogun, who had also been in doubt for the Eagles’ call-up, due to a complaint that kept him out the previous weekend, returned to action for The Seagulls.
Balogun, who has been inactive since December 26, was named in Brighton’s match day squad, but ended sitting out all 90 minutes of the goalless draw with Watford.
England U21 star Ademola Lookman made his 14th appearance of the season at Goodison Park, going on as a substitute on the hour, in a 3-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Jordon Ibe started on the bench for Bournemouth, who gave January signing, Dominic Solanke his debut against Cardiff City, after recovering fully from injury.
