The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has disclosed that 16 teams from across the country are set to take part in the 2018 National Volleyball Premier League.
President of the federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod, told newsmen that the league would hold from November 1st to 10th 2018 in Kaduna at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Indoor Sports Hall.
He said the 16 teams are made up of eight male and eight female, adding that, the league would feature eight matches each day.
The male teams include, Africa Zone three runners-up, Nigeria Customs Service, Nigeria Police Force, Sunshine of Ondo and Team Lagos
The others are Civil Defence, Nigeria Immigration Services and Kano Pillars.
For the female competition, the participating teams include Nigeria Customs Services, Nigeria Army, Delta Force and Team Lagos.
Others are Civil Defence, Nigeria Immigration Service, Benue Queens and Kada Emerald of Kaduna.
The NVBF president said the Technical team led by Martins Melandi, would be on ground to ensure that the league went on smoothly.
Nimrod said the league’s winners in both the male and female categories would represent Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Club Championships.
