Aston Villa manager, Steve Bruce, has confirmed that the Championship outfit are interested in signing Tammy Abraham from Chelsea on loan but admitted that the striker needs to be convinced to join the club.
An England U21 international, Abraham wants to remain at Chelsea until at least January and fight for a first-team spot even though he’s behind Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud in the pecking order of strikers.
Nottingham Forest have also been credited with an interest in the Nigerian Federation target who previously enjoyed loan stints at Bristol City and Swansea City.
”If he does become available then there’s a definite interest from us, of course there is. But I haven’t had any conversation with Chelsea,” Bruce told Birmingham Live .
”If he was available then I think half the Championship would love to take somebody like Tammy Abraham lets be honest. I don’t think we’re alone.”
Abraham was left out of the Chelsea squad vs Newcastle United on Sunday after captaining the U23s in their 1-0 loss to Derby County on Friday.
