Onazi’s poor form against England calls for concern

Nigerian football followers who watched the England versus Super Eagles game in England on Saturday evening has stated that, the poor form of Ogenyi Onazi calls for urgent concern if the Nigeria Football Federation wants a good performance in the Eagles midfield.
The Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder did not live up to expectations in Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to England in an international friendly at Wembley on Saturday evening.

The former Lazio star was one of the first names on manager Gernot Rohr’s team-sheet as the country qualified for their sixth World Cup but was hauled off by the German before the start of the second half.

Onazi had one of the worst games of his international career, with the holding midfielder making zero interceptions, clearances and blocked shots, no dribbles, shots and key passes, and finished the game with a poor passing.
