Ndidi, Iheanacho join Eagles’ teammates in Port Harcourt ahead DR Congo friendly

Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi has reported for international duty with Nigeria ahead of the World Cup.
The midfielder has been receiving treatment at City for a hamstring injury which ended his season and threatened his participation at next month’s tournament.
However, he linked up with the Super Eagles in Port Harcourt on Wednesday where was joined by City team-mate Kelechi Iheanacho.
City’s third Nigeria international, Ahmed Musa, is expected to join them on Wednesday as the squad comes together ahead of their first pre-tournament friendly on Monday, against Democratic Republic of Congo.
The trio could be joined by seven more City players in Russia.
Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire have linked up with the England training camp, Adrien Silva and new signing Ricardo Pereira are with Portugal, Shinji Okazaki is with Japan, Yohan Benalouane is with England’s group rivals Tunisia and Kasper Schmeichel is with Denmark.
