NWPL: Ibom Angels subdues Sure Babes FC

An Emem Essien’s brace broke the jinx of draws , has results recorded by Ibom Angel since the commencement of the NWPL season, as the home team finally recorded an outright victory against visiting team, newly promoted Sure Babes Football Club of Ilorin in the Matchday 4 game.

Two excellent goals from Ibom Angels right winger, Emem Essien, helped put smiles in the faces of supporters and members of the team, as this marked the unending draws of three matches in a roll for the Udom Ladies.

First goal of the encounter came in the third minutes of game, while the second goal was scored in the 68 minute.

Blessing Edoho of Ibom Angels missed a penalty kick in the first half, as Glory Edet was the only player from Ibom Angels that was issued with a yellow card.

As it is, Nelly Ekeh, Ibom Angels goalkeeper is yet to concede any goal in the four weeks old league season.

Uyo Land ladies made three substitutions were Blessing Edoho, Unyime Johnson and Blessing Okpe all came out for Abdulrasheed Aluko, Precious Christopher and Amanda Uju.

The game was watched by Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr Aniedi Dickson, the State FA chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Iba. among others.
