NBA: Caffaro, Tchamwa make history committing to NCAA schools

Francisco Caffaro (Argentina) and Cameroon’s Jonathan Tchamwa Tchamwa, have made commitments to attend the University of Virginia and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas respectively.

Both Francisco and Jonathan have been attending The NBA Global Academy in Canberra, Australia, and they are the first NBA Academy prospects to commit to NCAA schools.

The NBA sent a congratulatory message to he two prospects“On behalf of the NBA, we’d like to congratulate Francisco and Jonathan on being the first NBA Academy student-athletes to commit to NCAA schools.  They both worked extremely hard and have shown incredible improvement since they arrived at The NBA Global Academy nearly two years ago.

I know how much the opportunity to play college basketball and receive a college education means to them, and they’ve set a great example for current and future NBA Academy student-athletes to follow.  Once again, our congratulations to Francisco and Jonathan.”
